Please help, How do I turn up the phone volume on Android and iOS?

Hello,

I'm a little rookie. On Android and iOS, I play a song when a button is pressed, and if the phone is muted, it is inaudible.

I did the song playing part, but when I pressed that button, I couldn't make the phone volume up. I guess it's related to DependencyService. Can you show me step by step how to do it? Thank you.

You mean you want to add a view on the page to control volume (not the physical volume button in the device), right? Or do you want your app audio to keep playing when the mute switch is set to silent or the screen is locked?

For the first scenario, you can try creating a custom control using handlers and add a MPVolumeView on iOS.

For the second scenario, you can try using AVAudioSession Class and set AVAudioSessionCategoryPlayback mode.

About Android, you can try to see AudioManager, and implement this function via invoking platform code with MAUI.

In addition, may I ask how you did the song playing part? Which control are you using? CommunityToolKit MediaElement can play audio and provide a volume property to determine the media's volume.

I want to increase the volume of the device directly. I want the phone to be full when the button is pressed.

The sound extraction process is; I did it with the Plugin.Maui.Audio package.

Plugin.Maui.Audio is a third-party tool and it's not supported on Q&A, you can create a feature request to the owner. Besides, it's recomended that you try CommunityToolKit MediaElement to play audio and control volume.
