Does Task Manager show Hyper-V CPU full usage now in 2022?

I have read about using performance monitor and other tools to tell the CPU usage of the overall server with Hyper-V. Noticed on Windows 2022 with Hyper-V role, that when a virtual is running 100% CPU usage, it shows like 12% usage on the Hyper-V console. This is also reflected in task manager on the host computer. Maybe it always did but is Windows 2022 with Hyper-V role now showing overall CPU utilization in the host task manager?

Hi. Thank you for your question and reaching out. I’d be more than happy to help you with your query

Yes, Task Manager now shows Hyper-V CPU usage in full in 2022. In Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10, CPU usage by VMs is now also shown when looking at CPU usage via Task Manager. Additionally, you can use the Virtual Machines tool to manage Hyper-V hosts running Windows and view overall CPU and memory usage, IO performance metrics, and more.

Thanks for the info. Was there an update in older versions that effected this change? Posts all over the net about the host OS not reflecting the overall server CPU usage due to it being some form of virtual itself.
