I have a batch of new Windows 11 PC's from the manufacturer. One stops the windows 11 setup process saying OOPs you've lost your internet and refuses to go past this point even after a reboot.

  • The PC shows the Ethernet connection as connected.
  • The devices MAC address is showing in Server 2019 DHCP database and has registered in DNS.
  • OEM Hardware Diagnostics shows no issues with Ethernet or Wi-Fi integrated adapters
  • When I press Shift F10 it brings up the command prompt, but the cmd window does not respond to keystrokes.

What Do I do???

The longer I am in I.T. the more annoying Windows setup becomes for what seems like no good reason.

Hi Kapil - update - eventually the command window to accepted key strokes and this worked. I've renamed the feature Out Of Box Emergency.

    Thanks for you help.
