Outlook GPO question regarding outlk16.admx settings

Question

I have a question regarding Office GPOs relating to Outlook outlk16.admx settings

There are multiple settings relating to autodiscover and I can't find a lot of documentation regarding the specifics of these.

Setting1

Automatically configure profile based on Active Directory Primary SMTP address

HKCU\software\policies\microsoft\office\16.0\outlook\autodiscover!zeroconfigexchange

Setting2

Disable AutoDiscover

HKCU\software\policies\microsoft\office\16.0\outlook\autodiscover!excludelastknowngoodurl

Setting1: I assume this enables ZCE and Settings2 disables Autodiscover with the option excludelastknowngoodurl

Can both be enabled?

It was my understanding that ZCE is using Autodiscover so wondering if by enabling setting2 will I be disabling setting1? Or is it just disabling using the last known good URL as part of ZCE?

Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having query\issues related to Outlook GPO.

It will not disable any settings but it will not work if the other settings overrides it.
