I want to have a shared cloud repository where my users can share files and access these files from any device, any location. And these files are not office apps.

The files are either autocad, either revit files. All my users have the desktop apps for these files and files are saved currently locally.

I need to know if sharepoint online serves as a solution for me. Knowing that its not office apps.

For example, can I upload as a first step revit and autocad files to my sp online site and make the files available for everyone?

If yes, after having the files available, is there any chance that the files can be opened through web apps?

If no, only option would be to download each time the file and work in on locally?

Or to sync the site to each user device, and then each time they want to edit they just access it from their devices, work on it and automatically changes will be reflected to the cloud?

Lets say the syncing work, if user A and B have access to the same files and they are editing it from their devices simultaneously what would be impact of the synced file to the cloud? Will it have different versions or what?

You can sync all files to each user devices with one click through Onedrive. Then every time they want to edit, they just access it from their device, work on it and save it, automatic changes will be reflected to the sharepoint site.

4.Lets say the syncing work, if user A and B have access to the same files and they are editing it from their devices simultaneously what would be impact of the synced file to the cloud? Will it have different versions or what?

Yes, when multiple people edit the same file that is synchronized to Onedrive at the same time, Onedrive will automatically synchronize the file to the sharepoint site and store it as different versions.
