Delete Recovery Services Vault in Azure

I have several recovery services vaults which I believe are not in use. I do need to make sure that is the case. If I view the backup items and recovery items in the vault, if there are none, can I assume that the Recovery Services Vault is not in use and can be deleted. What is the best practice for determining if a recovery services vault is being used?

    Hello @Stephen Weber

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A platform.

Right! Recovery services vaults are used for both backups and replication using Azure site recovery. If there is nothing in backup items blade and replication items blade, it means nothing has been protected or configured for protection under that vault. It is safe to delete.
Also, I would like to mention that the recovery services vaults doesn't cost anything. Even if there are any other configurations made like Hyper-V/VMware infrastructure, replication or backup policy, etc.,

If this does answer your question, please feel free to mark it as the answer as a token of appreciation.
