Unable to access HP media smart home server after factory reset and only windows 10 computer. Stuck at login in page. Need help

Question

I have a HP smart media home server. Original purchase in 2007. Updated my last windows computer to 10. I used to have an old laptop that I managed the server with. It had VIsta. Always worked. Now I noticed the server was been down for a few months. Not used much anymore. It won’t reboot., or connect again. No computer to connect to it like usual by web browser or software with no Vista computer anymore. So I factory reset the server after two days of attempts. It’s accessible now only with remote access to the login page. It won;t accept the old passwords. From what I read no defaults I’ve tried admin  etc with no luck. I tried downloading making a usb stick to boot and do it and it didn’t work. Frustrated because I can now get to the login page but can’t access it. At this point I want to do just that. Any help would be appreciated.  Laptop is running windows 10. All the other computers on the network are Mac. I just need to get through the login. And the old software on the disc is for Xp and vista.
