A question about the Devblogs migration:
While searching for one of Ganesh Shankaran's blogs ~2010, bumped into one or two issues with his Blog listings.
is the requested article, which can be accessed from his user profile page, are you able to repro the 403?
Also unable to locate the article in his linked DevBlog Troubleshooting Tips For Developers.

I am not aware of any migration relating to dev blogs, but you might have more luck reaching out to the current main dev blogs site for assistance.

@Laurie Stearn That is an old blog so it may very well no longer be maintained and has just left the old content available to be viewed.

I'm getting this issue very often on devblogs.microsoft.com, just now wanted to read a fresh article: https://devblogs.microsoft.com/typescript/announcing-typescript-5-1-beta/
and got the following result. Please fix it, it's annoying. Maybe you're doing extensive IP range blocking because of some attack attempts, but you're also throwing the baby with the bathwater, because people can't read your blogs. I'm located in Poland.

Just now I tried to log in to devblogs to comment on a new post - https://devblogs.microsoft.com/visualstudio/visual-studio-ui-refresh/
and the login page looks like this:
it's a different browser than in the previous case.
Please fix this.
I went to that blog post and was able to sign-in without the 403 error. I wonder if it was a transient issue? What type of account did you try to sign in with?
It is not work/school account, just casual Microsoft account.
It's not only about login page, sometimes, just like the link I posted above about the TypeScript 5.1 beta, it's the main article.
To me it seems like a wide range IP block on the web server level (nginx is the web server), but not on all devblog hosts. Sometimes I'm able to read devblog posts without issues, but on other occasions it displays the "forbidden" message like the two shown above. You definitely are having configuration issues on those hosts, because the behavior is not consistent.
It's so frustrating when you want to see these devblog posts and you're just seeing this. Not a proper user-friendly error message, just raw 403 "forbidden".
This issue occurs for I think more than a year, it's just that I've had enough and I was able to find this topic and attach to it.
I'll be updating this topic whenever I encounter those issues together with links and I'm asking you to ping whoever is responsible for the configuration of those devblog hosts. Thank you in advance.
