How do I change permissions on an application to allow use

Hi,

I have an app that works for everyone except 2 widows 10 machines. The only way it will work for the 2 exception machines is to sign in as administer. Once they shut off their PC the program won't run again until I sign in as admin and then sign them in. Also they are windows 10 machines. The windows 11 machines work as I want. Is there a way to give the same authority to each user and does it have to be done on every machine? The windows 11 machines are brand new. The windows 10 machines are about 7 to 8 years old.

I am not a network professional but I'm in a volunteer position for a little non-profit Historical Society. I worked in IT for 33 years but it was on mid-range machines. I can get around fine on a PC, I just don't have a lot of time to research these issues at the time. I just rolled out 10 machines and I'm putting out fires as they come up which right now seems to be a lot. All of it has to do with what problem the folks create for me each day. Deleting things off the home screen and then denying it. So they move things around and delete shortcuts that were meant to get everyone to the same folder on the server and instead it deletes the shortcut on every machine. Also mapping drives. They shouldn't be doing that. I have them mapped as should be. It's very frustrating.

Also where would it help me the most to get the experience I need to at least maintain the current environment.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi. Thank you for your question and reaching out. I’d be more than happy to help you with your query

To change permissions for an application to allow use, you will need to go to the application settings. Here, you can review the permissions that the application has been given and change them accordingly. For example, if the application needs to use your microphone or contacts list, you can enable these permissions. If the application does not need to have access to certain features, you can disable them. Once you have made the necessary changes, you can save the settings and the application will be able to use the new permissions.
