OneDrive issue's

Question

Hi, so my father has a work computer with ALOT of work files and OneDrive synced all his files to my computer. Now I deleted OneDrive after this but now I am stuck because these files take up around 20 gigabytes of storage. And I don't know how to delete them from my computer to free up space. But I don't want to remove them from his computer.

So, if anyone can help me with this I would appreciate it.

Hello, first you need to remove the link to your father's OneDrive profile on your workstation. To do this, please proceed as follows:

1. Open OneDrive settings (select the OneDrive Cloud icon in your status area, then the OneDrive Help and Settings icon, and then Settings).
2. Go to the Account tab.
3. Click Unlink from this PC.

You can then uninstall OneDrive from your workstation as described below:

1. Select the Start button, type the word "Programs" in the search box, and then select "Add or Remove Programs" in the list of results.
2. Under Applications and Features, search for Microsoft OneDrive, select the program, and then select Uninstall. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, enter the password or confirm the operation.

As Schneider, Tobias suggested, if you only want to delete those files on your computer, you need to unlink your father's OneDrive account first.

Please note, this action need to be operated in OneDrive client, and need to sign in your father's account.
