Hi,

I have domain joined corporate devices running Windows 10 Pro 22H2. These devices run with the 2022-12 Updates. Microsoft Edge is installed. Prior to Feb 14, I was running Edge v100.xx. I have GPOs to set Edge as the default browser and IE11 is available as a standalone app. When I updated the Edge browser to the latest 110.0.1587.50, Internet Explorer 11 is still available. I can launch iexplore.exe (or launch it from the Start Menu) and it runs without issue.

Is this expected behavior?

Thanks

Hi. Thank you for your question and reaching out. I’d be more than happy to help you with your query

Yes, it is expected behavior. Edge and Internet Explorer 11 can co-exist on the same device without any issue. Additionally, you can set Edge as the default browser and IE11 as the secondary browser using GPOs. You can also launch IE11 directly or from the Start Menu without any issue.
