Why does Microsoft still recommend the .NET Framework 4.8 although the current version is 4.8.1.?

Hello,

the current version of the .NET Framework is 4.8.1.
Nevertheless, version 4.8 is recommended to me when I visit the download page (with a Win10 Pro x64 22H2).

Why is that?

Thanks and greetings,
Martindotnetdl

    Hi @Martin Fessler ,

.NET Framework 4.8.1 includes native support for the Arm64 architecture (Windows 11+) and accessibility improvements as well as other improvements.

    Check Announcing .NET Framework 4.8.1

    Best Regards.
