Microsoft Purview Extension for Edge

there is an extension for Chrome, but nothing is mentioned for Edge. Why is that? Is there no extension for Edge? Is it not needed?

Hi, It's not needed for Endpoint DLP to apply to Edge. "The Microsoft Purview Extension is able to provide existing Endpoint DLP capabilities to non-native applications." Edge is native.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I stumpled upon it searching for the same information that OP was looking for.

Not all functionality is supported natively.

It lists which functionality is included natively, and specifies how to install the extension using multiple tools:

Microsoft Purview-addon

Intune:
Enter the following value for the extensions and app IDs and update URL: lcmcgbabdcbngcbcfabdncmoppkajglo**.**
