explorer network tab extremely Slow

I've been running a synolgy NAS for about a year now. I have a Quick access tab for it. For a long while when I click the tab it open the nas directories quickly. Also when downloading from the internet
Recently however, when I click the quick access link is will take up to a minute before I can do anything. Nothing has changed hardware wise or software on the NAS. Windows has had several updates, 21H2 and 22H2
could anyone advise as it is very annoying. TIA
