How we can delete existing alert rule?

To delete an existing alert rule in Azure, you can follow these steps:

1. Go to the Azure portal and select the Azure monitor service where the alert rule is configured.
2. Select the "Alerts" option from the menu on the left-hand side of the page.
3. In the list of alert rules, find the rule you want to delete and click on it to open its details page.
4. On the details page, click the "Delete" button in the top toolbar.
5. Confirm that you want to delete the rule by clicking "Yes" when prompted.

Note that deleting an alert rule will also delete any associated actions, such as email notifications or webhook calls. Therefore, it is important to ensure that you no longer need the rule before deleting it.

After the two answers and misleading documentation it is still not clear how to delete an alert. Delete is not found on any of the Monitor > Alert tabs as suggested. After diggin in the json activity log we were able to construct the url to the correct page based on resourceId. On this page you can delete the alert or disable it, but there is no indication how the hell do you navigate to this settings page. Another fail for Azure.

@Handian Sudianto From the image provided, I could see that you are trying to delete the alert notifications that are triggered. Alert notifications cannot be deleted. You can the delete the alert rule related to the alert notifications by following steps mentioned by community member or the commands mentioned in this document.

If you want to take action on fired alerts, you can use alert processing rules to suppress the alert notifications for a while or apply action groups. For more information, refer this document.

Issue with deleting an old Classic Billing Alert in Azure. we have set up a Billing Alert in the past to receive notifications if their estimated bill exceeded $15. Now, we are trying to delete it but cannot find it in the Cost Management alerts or Azure Monitor.
