Hi,

On the Windows 10 client machines, We frequently receive the following GPO error in the application event.. "The user 'web data*' preference item in the Group Policy Object did not apply because it failed with error code '0x80070002 The system cannot find the file specified.' This error was suppressed. The relevant configured policy setting is as follows

"Preferences

Windows Settings

Files

File (Target Path: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\web data*)" Action Delete.

Looking for a solution to the issue. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

    Hi @M B RAJAN

Did you setup a shortcut through GPO ?

Some links may help you :

GPO Preferences Shortcuts: Remove this item when it is no longer applied = 0x80070002

Group Policy Desktop Shortcut Error 80070002

    Group Policy Shortcuts
