How many people can share one joining link on Teams webinars?

We are running a webinar and the version of teams we use requires a registration page. We are wondering if the joining links are unique? If they are, can they be shared? If they can be shared, how many times can they be used by others, is there a limit?

Obviously I've tested this myself and within my team to a few people, but I'm wondering if, for example, can we skip having a registration page for most people (i.e. register ourselves for the event and send the one joining link to the 300 attendees).

In webinars, the number of participants can be up to 10,000, the number of fully interactive users is 1,000, and those over 1,000 only have view-only functionality.

Hi @SokiGuo-MSFT , this answer isn't borne out by testing I've done. If someone (Person A) registers for the event and gets the joining link, they can share this link by right clicking the button in their email and pasting the link in a chat/email with others. I have done this and using other browsers had 7 people join the same webinar using Person A's link. In the Attendance report they are all reported as new attendees yet only 1 person was registered to attend.

Similarly, attendees can use the link that the organizers are sent in Outlook to join the event without going through the registration page. Is there a limit to how many times this can be done?

Hi @Stuart Butler

If you invite directly in a meeting, it will be the result of your test. Teams webinars allow anonymous participation through a browser. Anonymous users only need to enter their first name before joining. As long as the number of participants is within the maximum capacity, there is no other limit.

Hi @SokiGuo-MSFT , Thanks for clarifying I had not understood that there was a difference between "inviting" people using the meeting link and having people register. This makes much more sense and makes things much easier for us on the day!
