DPM SQLPrep remote SQL server & different versions of DPM

Scenario:

Running DPM 1807 on several servers with their DBs on the same common remote 2016 SQL server.

To upgrade them, SQLPrep for the 2019-version has to be run on the SQL server, the question:

Will this break DPM on the other 1807-servers until they're are also upgraded to 2019? Or is the SQLPrep backwards compatible? (Rebuilding DPMs can be a pain...)

Thanks.

OK, I got your problem. SQLPrep only check prerequisites for DMP2019 will not break other DPMs.

note: A backup should be taken before upgrading.

Here is a DPM Step-By-Step: upgrading to v2019 guide for your reference.
