VS Community single developer lange organisation

Hi, A question about the usage of VS community. Our organisation has only one software developer (me), but is a company which meats the definition of an enterprise (> $1000000). Developing software or hardware is not the core business of the company. Am I still an individual developer, who can use an individual license? Hope anyone can help. Regards Milo

    The license terms for Visual Studio Community 2022 define an Individual License -- "If you are an individual working on your own applications, either to sell or for any other purpose, you may use the software to develop and test those applications."

    In my opinion when you are working in the course of your employment on your employers software and systems then you are not using VS on your own applications and the Individual License is not applicable.

    Since your organization is defined as an enterprise pursuant to the license terms then your use is constrained by the Organizational license.

    Your organization should look into licensing for VS Pro or other versions as needed. Take a look at Compare Visual Studio 2022 Editions
