I received an email from azure-noreply@microsoft.com introducing Microsoft Azure to me. I have security protection already. I am not interested in the Microsoft Azure product.

The email goes on to say: "If you don’t take action per the message, security defaults will be enabled after 14 days." That is illegal. One cannot say if you do nothing you are in a program and under its rules and fees.

I am not interested in Azure. Please do not mail me any more about it. And if I am in any way charged for Azure, you will hear from my attorney.

Hi Marc,

The email message I believe you are referring to is sent to people that already have an Azure AD tenant. To simplify, they are explaining to you that a security configuration change (aka enable Security Defaults) will be made to the tenant. Has nothing to do with selling you a product/service. In the message it says "There is no additional cost", does the email you received have this text?

Are you a Microsoft 365/Office 365 customer? Have you ever signed up for Azure Free account, or any other free/trial/paid Microsoft cloud service offering like PowerBI, Developer program, Partner, etc?

Are you the person that manages/configures IT for your company?
