Will moving a storage account from one tenant to another trigger the write operation for every blob? So will I have to pay for writing every blob in my storage account if I move the storage account to a different tenant?

We are investigating moving resources (like storage accounts) from one tenant to another tenant. This is with the idea of merging our companies on the Azure level.

Well most things were clear from the documentation the cost was not yet, thank you for answering that part

Can you confirm how you are moving the storage account from one tenant to another?

As you mentioned, moving an account would result in writing Blobs to the new account for every Blob which means write operations for every Blob by the application/tool/API that is copying the Blobs.
