Hi all,

We published our software to the Microsoft store and of course it is failed on review application with not clear explanations. One of them:

App Policies: 10.2.9: Win32 products must be submitted as a standalone/offline installer. Installers must not be a downloader that downloads the bits it needs to run. Please resubmit with an appropriate installer.

Our software is a Windows installer built via the Advanced Installer tool, so it is a standalone installer. After installation our software downloads a Log Agent that forwards all logs to our servers. This Log Agent is Third Party software. We can put this agent as a part of our package but it increase its size in 10 times. What should we do in this case? Also how to be sure that they meant to this Log Agent or not something else? Support does not answer more than two weeks.

    Hello there,

Have you tried the Microsoft Store submission API and see if that helps in your case I think adding a third-party application might not help in the digital signature process.

After your app is published, you can publish an updated version by creating another submission in Partner Center. Creating a new submission lets you make and publish whatever changes are needed, whether you're uploading new packages or just changing details such as price or category.

This articlehttps://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/publish/publish-your-app/create-app-submission?pivots=store-installer-msix describes how to create an app submission in Partner Center.

Hope this resolves your Query !!
