How do I run rules automatically for sent emails in Outlook desktop app?

Hello,

I created a rule for the mail I send to x person to instantly be moved to a certain folder when it's sent.

That rule, however, only executes if I run it manually.

Since it's a company email, no visual basic edits or stuff should be done.

What can I do to make this work? It helps us a whole lot to keep the emails under control but nobody except me is even willing to run them manually every time.

Thanks.

Hi. Thank you for your question and reaching out. I’d be more than happy to help you with your query.

I have linked an article below that may help solve your issue. Here is what the article has to say:

Choose Manage Rules & Alerts from the File menu, and then Run Rules Now from the E-mail Rules tab. Check the check box for each rule that you wish to execute in the Run Rules Now box, under Pick rules to run. To pick a different folder in the Run in Folder box, click Browse, then the folder, and finally OK.

    Hi @aa22 ,

    Welcome to our forum!

    What exactly are your rules?

As i know, we can only create a rule to automatically move the copy of Outlook sent emails. So i'm afraid that you could only run the rule manually to move the sent messaged manually. Otherwise, you may need to resort to VBA for automation.
