Office Online Event 8115 Could not contact WOPI End Point.

We are seeing this event in both OOS servers for about two months now:

Event 8115

Could not contact WOPI End Point. Error details - 'Unauthorized url - UREDACTED_(cF5BHxEp3m9k+INGWZDFkleoSrdhtJdemlVMD7QFvd8=)'.

This event is recorded every couple minutes, but so far we haven't seen any major issues with Office Online.

However there has been few complaints that when user opens a document from Sharepoint to Word Online and tries to modify it, it says the document is checked out for another user, even the library is not set to enforce CheckOut before editing document. So basically that eliminates co-authoring when that issue is present.

And when looking that document from the library it does not say the document is checked out to anyone.

In some scenarios the document is actually stuck in the checkedout-user's Office upload center, but not in all scenarios.

Could someone help what is this error about and where to look for the remedy?

    Can you provide me with the ULS Log of your error?

    1. Download the ULS Viewer tool to your SharePoint web front-end server.
    2. Open the ULS Viewer application. Click the "File" menu >> "Open from File >>". This will open the default LOGS folder of the SharePoint hive "C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\16\LOGS".
