Will Multi Tenancy / organizations extend to Rules and Actions?

Each department uses IoT Central for self service when it comes to rules and actions. We would prefer to extend a multi tenant IoT Central to allow each department to self service the rules (and maybe also actions). Is this something we can expect in the feature?

    Hello @Jochem de Vos,

Thanks for reaching on this forum,

Could you please add more info on the "allow each department to self service the rules" and how it is going to benefit your scenario? any use case would be very helpful for me to check with my team..!

Regarding: "allow each department to self service the rules"
As this is not supported as of now, and we will keep you posted if we hear any plans!

For example, you could create separate rule templates or conditions for each organization, and restrict access to the rules for each user based on their organization and role.

This would allow User 1 to create rules that only apply to devices in Organization X, and User 2 to create rules that only apply to devices in Organization Y.

However, this approach may not provide complete isolation between the two organizations, as both users would still have access to the same rule engine and actions. To achieve full separation, you may need to use separate instances of IoT Central or custom solutions that provide more fine-grained control over rules and actions based on organizational or user context.
