We have been using Office Online Server for some years now with SP2016 and as far as I know OOS is quite heavily used in our SP farm.

Approximately 350 000 Office documents in the farm.

While patching OOS farm I just now noticed that there is "CacheSizeInGB"-parameter that can be modified.

We are using the default size which is 15GB and when I looked those cache folders from both OOS servers I can see that they are full 15GB/15GB.

Should we increase it to the max configurable size = 100GB for better performance?

I could not find any documentation from MS articles about the cachesize.

    Hi @Anonymous

    Yes, you can increase it.

    -CacheSizeInGB

Specifies the maximum size of the global disk cache in gigabytes. The type must be an integer value in the range of 0 to any positive integer. The default size is 15 GB.
