OS deployment issue on Bare metal[new computer]

Hi,

We are trying to use SCCM OSD for new computers[bare metal] however when laptop boots into PXE mode SCCM server is shown but immediately laptop try to use DHCP server IP and then again go back to PXE boot mode. Hence OS deployment is not happening. we checked as per Microsoft site [https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/osd/deploy-use/install-new-windows-version-new-computer-bare-metal] and all looks ok. The main problem is that SCCM server PXE boot point is not responding to client. Any suggestion on what I'm missing.

    Did the you check the pxe log? Is there a policy targeted for the pxe client?

    Issue has been solved and below is my finding and solution.

    Issue – Laptops were unable to boot from PXE and it was jumping back to PXE boot window.

    Root case – Systems were already in SCCM database hence OS deployment was not recognising them as unknown system(bare metal)User's image

    Solution – deleted the entry of both system from SCCM database and then it started working. Hence if we want to do the OS deployment on any bare metal [new computer]

    1. Ensure they are not in SCCM database and if they are then delete them to treat them as unknown computer[bare metal].

    OR

    1. Install SCCM client on them and then do the OS deployment.
