How do I resolve an Error Code 1001 on Microsoft Authenticator

Question

Hi Everyone,

I am attempting to set up or link up Windows 11 to my Samsung 22 Ultra. I am on step 3 of 5 (Connecting accounts with Outlook).

1. I go to add account and my email address already appears & is checked from my Gmail account.
2. I hit continue - it wants me to authenticate I am who I am. I always go through the authenticator instead of using my password.
3. I approve the number then it wants me to go through the process again and again and again until I get an error code with a whole lot of information at the bottom.

I have been attempting to synch my contacts from my Samsung 22 Ultra to my Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360. This has been truly a surreal experience to say the least. I have used my password instead of the authenticator and it still will not work. Now since I have this error code I am not able to do anything about synching my contacts to my laptop.

I am not proficient as I used to be in using computers for many years. My phone & tablet has always sufficed for all that I do online. Now I just need help please.
