Issue reported: Windows Update error: 0x80070424
Please follow below mentioned troubleshooting steps and update on this thread.
- Try to remove third party security software/antivirus and delete associated folders in the base drive.
- Clear off temporary files and run disk clean up.
- Then perform an SFC scan.
Type ‘cmd’ in the search box and right click on command prompt and click on run as administrator.
Then Type ‘SFC /scannow and hit enter.
The scan will take some time to complete until it gives you a result of the scan.
Then restart your machine.
- Once the machine is restarted, please follow steps listed on a below mentioned link.
