ReceiveConnector

Case:

I have 2 WAN connections with independent IP addresses and in the MX record I have configured mail.domain.com for the WAN1 connection and mx20.domain.com for the WAN2 connection.

My firewall has WAN1 and WAN2 and sends all mail to EDGE Exchange 2019.

When I made an SMTP Banner Check from the outside, I receive the following error: Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner.

I can then configure Banner for ReceiveConnector, e.g. on WAN1, but then the test fails on WAN2

Can you create a receive connector for both WAN1 and WAN2 with different banner configurations?

If there is an article that describes How to I will be happy :-)

Hi, sorry not really possible because you can only scope by remote ip addresses in your scenario for the receive connector.

Since both connectors need to receive mail from the internet, you can not have two connectors set exactly the same with different FQDNs set on the receive connector

The only way you could do this is to have 2 Edge Servers, one for WAN1, and one for WAN2.

Then each receive connector could have its remote IP address scoped to receive internal email from its own edge server and then you could have two receive connectors - each one with its own FQDN
