How to require admin credentials for Windows 11 install

Question

We have a lot of users who are accidentally updating to Win 11 because it has a big enticing blue button. How can we require an admin password to validate this significant change of OS? Bless them that they think they're doing us a favor, but it's making it harder for IT.

In case they are managed devices and they are part of Active Directory or Intune, then Windows 11 won't be installed and you have power to manage and deploy it. However, if they are unmanaged devices and not connected to the company's network, you won't be able to manage them.
