Package not found: crmsh and pacemaker

Hello Team,

We are trying to set-up Pacemaker on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server in Azure with Azure Fence Agent Methos. We have selected GEN2: SUSE Enterprise Linux SLES 12 SP5 OS/Image.

But "crmsh" and "pacemaker" package are not found even after executing "zypper update" and reboot.

Request to provide the solution.

Happy to investigate this with you. Can you let me know the full name of the SUSE marketplace image you are using? Also please provide the output of "zypper lr"

Hello There,

SUSE Image Name:

SUSE Enterprise Linux 12 SP5 + Patching - x64(Gen2)[Free services eligible].

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP4 + Patching - x64(Gen2)[Free services eligible].

We have checked with both above mentioned SUSE Image. But no luck.

Note: We are using Azure Free Trial Account and testing the Pacemaker Cluster Build on SUSE Linux in Azure.

"zypper lr" output is attached in the answer. I have also Enabled all the Channels but no packages found for "crmsh' and "pacemaker".

Please do let us know the solution. It's bit urgent.

Thanks for providing those details. To install the required packages you need to be using a SUSE Enterprise Linux for SAP image. These packages require the SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension to be enabled which will not work on the versions you are using. I was able to install the packages using the image "SUSE Enterprise Linux for SAP 12 SP5 +24x7 Support".

Thanks for your findings.

It seems "SUSE Enterprise Linux for SAP 12 SP5 +24x7 Support" Image is not supported in Free Trial Account. Need to opt for "Pay-as-you-go" subscription for this.

Could you please suggest/advise the minimum Azure VM size/sku requirement for Cluster set-up and its total pricing for/with "SUSE Enterprise Linux for SAP 12 SP5 +24x7 Support" OS Image ??

The details of the certified and supported VMs can be found on this page. For testing purposes it is possible to use smaller VM sizes, but for production you would want to use one of the supported sizes. Pricing for a single VM can be found here. For pricing questions, I recommend speaking to our Sales team. They should be able to point you towards the right setup and are more familiar with pricing.
