Hello,

we would search for an solution to "config backup" m365 services and azure ad users & groups!

If you work still on premise you would backup your users and groups periodically and also you got an backup of Group Policy objects and so on - but how would you get an readable and recoverable backup of your config which is stored at microsoft cloud (for example Conditional Access Policies, Intune Configuration Profiles and so on)?

There is an solution which could take an backup of different policies via graph api which is not very admin friendly in case of readability.

Did you know and have expierences with any kind of software to get an backup of these informations/settings or did you not backup these data and hope that no one will faulty delete anything?

I hope to get some input from you about your experiences and meaning regarding this problem.

Thanks and have a nice day

Tobi

@Tobias Loibl there is no out of the box backup solution, however 30 days retention is available for the objects in Azure AD after they are deleted and stored in recycle bin. Third party tools such as Quest provides backup and recovery options of Azure AD and M365 data.

    Hope this helps.
