2023-03-09T02:10:54.1266667+00:00 I solved the problem, I needed to update my subscription, my payment method was out of date. I opened azure devops, searched for Subscriptions, updated the payment and after a while it was back to normal.

2023-03-09T03:35:44.5933333+00:00 - @Gabriel Moreira @Alfredo Revilla Thanks for answering. However, I use free tier in azure devops and I have not setup billing. Could it be because I have exceeded my free tier limit? How can I validate that? I see that when I try to create SP via azure devops then it gets created in Azure but shows timeout error in azuredevops.

2023-03-15T03:59:20.84+00:00 I also use the free version, but I needed enter with a valid card for free tier. In that, I discovered my subscription was inactive, so I had to activate it in Subscriptions. I recommend you verify this, to see if's the same problem. For verify your subscription, go to: https://portal.azure.com/#home, and search for "Subscriptions" and check if your subscription are active (as in the image below). On the right sides show that the subscription is active.

2023-04-04T16:21:48.5066667+00:00 Hi, We are getting exactly the same issue. The connectionthat was valid - now when I try to save it, I get this error message
And yes, the subscription is valid. Can we at least be able to see more information on what is the reason of the issue? Thank you

2024-06-24T06:58:03.42+00:00 We're facing same issue.
After a secret had expired on a Azure Subscription and then creating a new one, then trying to Edit / update the service connection on Azure DevOps, we're running into the TF400898 error.
