Bulk import of Directory number for Microsoft teams user
we are migrating the number from cisco to Microsoft teams ,please recommend the steps to be followed for bulk updating the user directory number in teams (via powershell or admin.teams )
we can see some user are populated with wrong directory number from Azure AD and we are not able delete or update it via admin.teams portal or PowerShell .
error message -
"The user 'xxxx' already has a telephone number set in the on-premises Active Directory and synchronized to the cloud. To manage this user's telephone number in
the cloud, first clear the phone number in the on-premises directory and synchronize to Active Directory."
we deleted the number from user's Ad azure profile ,tried the same but failed again
Do you mean you want to transfer your phone numbers from your current service provider to Teams?
If you have more than 999 user (subscriber) phone numbers that you need to transfer to Teams, see Manage phone numbers for your organization to download the correct forms.

we are proceeding with direct routing with E5 license,as the number populated in Azure AD is not been pulled to teams admin center ,we would like to know if there is an option to bulk update the directory number for users in teams admin center .

I am afraid there is no option to bulk update the directory number for users.
You could run the command Get-CsOnlineUser to check if the phone number has been assigned.
