Hi Everyone, I tried to search for some information but the search result left me confused.

I want to ask if the following can be done.

A high-end Windows Desktop with Windows 11 installed. (HOST)

I like to run Hyper-V to install Windows Server and Exchange (To save cost and it is deployed for a small number of users of 20.)

The Hyper-V container will be installed with Server 2016 Std and run Exchange 2016.

Can this be done?

If this is in the wrong section, I am sorry and hope someone can help me out.

Thank You So Much

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having query\issues related to Hyper-v in Windows 11.

Yes, You can Install Hyper-V host in Windows 11 and Create AD and Exchange VM on it , However it will be very slow and may not recommended for Product use.

You can also use Oracle Virtual box which is also Free.

    Hi @Raymond Lee

Hyper-v in windows desktop is used as test envirement not for production.

If you have small number of users , you can use online mailbox in MS365 service to avoid installing Exchange server on-premise.
