Issue with Azure redirect to wrong organization.

It seems while in an Azure class a few years ago I made the mistake of using my work email to login into Azure. Well, now it seems that portal.azure.com keeps redirecting me to that organization and not my actual work. How do I solve this? If I put that actual tenant id after the portal.azure.com it will let me in. I have tried this in chrome and firefox and even cleared the cache and cookies on both browsers. The other thing I noticed is that I have the lab organizations show up under my organization in my work account in Microsoft. When I try to leave them it won't let me. It keeps trying to authenticate with my MS authenticator app but a notice never comes. I even try to use a verification code but now go. My AD group is kind of stumped on how to fix this.

    @Hill, Kirk

    Looks like it is not an issue with the browser nor the session cookies.

    Because you are not able to login to your actual Azure directory even after resetting the browser. Also, this issue is happening on multiple browsers.

    Issue is with the setting in Azure portal itself. To fix this issue you can follow below steps,

    • You can login to Azure portal by entering the tenant ID after portal.azure.com.
    • Once you land to the correct directory, you have to click on your account on the top right corner.
    • Click on Switch directory and then look for an option "Appearance + startup views" on the left side of the page.
    • Scroll down and look for "Startup directory"
    • Click on select directory and set the value as the actual tenant that you want to land into upon logging in evertime.

    Do let me know if you have any further questions.

    Enter another email in the list of another account on Microsoft and then modify the account

    Hi,

    Can you try incognito mode on the browser? With regards to the MS Auth not showing code is could be the link is broken, you will need to request the admin to reset the MFA for that account to authenticate.

    Also check if you have added the MS account no the device - check this link and follow the steps to remove the acocunt .

    Hope this helps.
