Microsoft certification renewal limits

Question

Is there a limit to how many times a certification can be renewed? For example, the Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate certification is valid for 2 years, and a renewal exam can be taken to extend that certification by a year. After that additional year, can it be renewed again with another renewal exam? Is there a limit to how many times this can be done? If it cannot be renewed more than once, is it necessary to pass the MB-300 and MB-500 exams a second time to once again obtain the certification for 2 years?
