Azure sponsored account will be converted to pay-as-you-go

We are a non-profit organization. We are using a sponsored Azure account. I received an email that mentioned subscriptions would be automatically converted to pay-as-you-go. How do I continue to use an Azure Sponsored Account? What is the distinction between these two subscriptions?

Thanks.

    Hello AFI IT Admin

A sponsored Azure account is typically provided to non-profit organizations, educational institutions, or other eligible organizations that have been approved for sponsorship by Microsoft. These accounts are provided as a grant to support the organization's activities and are subject to certain terms and conditions.

If you have received an email that your subscription will be converted to pay-as-you-go, it is likely that the terms of your sponsorship have changed. To continue using your Azure Sponsored Account, you may need to take some action, such as updating your payment information or accepting new terms and conditions.

The primary difference between a sponsored account and a pay-as-you-go account is the payment model. With a sponsored account, the costs of using Azure services are covered by the sponsoring organization. With a pay-as-you-go account, the organization is responsible for paying for the services they use.

In general, sponsored accounts have usage limits, restrictions on the types of services that can be used, and may require periodic reporting on usage. Pay-as-you-go accounts offer more flexibility in terms of services and usage, but the organization is responsible for managing costs and ensuring that they are within budget.

If you have any questions or concerns about your sponsored account or the conversion to a pay-as-you-go account, you should contact Microsoft support or your sponsoring organization for more information.

Just adding to Subrotho Das's response.

Typically, Microsoft Azure Sponsorship offer will be converted automatically to the Pay-As-You-Go offer, due to the following reasons || upon the earlier occurrence of:
    (1) when your total cumulative usage reaches your Usage Cap (as specified in your invitation e-mail) at standard Pay-As-You-Go rates prior to application of any discount

or (2) when you reach your End Date (as specified in your invitation e-mail).
