I am having troubles logging into my Windows 11 Pro laptop with RDP.
On the laptop, I am set up and logged in with what seems to be my email's Office 365 account. This is the one Administrator user I have on the laptop, and I would strongly prefer to be able to log in with this user via RDP.
However when trying to use this email as user name when logging in with RDP, the password does not work.
The password does work locally on the laptop, in addition to Windows Hello PIN.
I have tried adding MicrosoftAccounts\ or AzureAD\ in front of the email, but this does not change the error message.

I can add that I've been in contact with Microsoft support for over an hour trying to identify the issue, without a solution.
Other possible useful info:
For anyone who also has this problem and ends up in this post,
the solution for me was to add AzureAD\ in front of my email address.
So in RDP login:
User: AzureAD\name@domain.com
Password: My Office 365 password
Even though this combination of domain + email never ever occured anywhere to me before.
This is super confusing because:
On my laptop, the admin user has name@domain.com, and this weird combo AzureAD\MyNameClumpedTogether is the one set up with RDP access when I turn on RDP.
When logging in to RDP, it automatically adds MicrosoftAccount\ in front of your email, so every time you try to change it, it glues your email to the wrong domain and goes: MicrosoftAccount\name@domain.com
Hope this will help someone else as well.
And yet another problem which can block you is:
Microsoft accounts can be "Live" or "Work or school".
If you like me, have both types of account linked to the same email, and only the "Live" account added under windows account settings on the client PC, e.g. the computer you're trying to connect FROM, every time you try logging in to your server PC with RDP and that email, it will force it into using your Live account.
For me the problem was fixed by adding my work or school account to my client PC, which I really didn't want to but what can you do.
Absolutely horrible account system Microsoft has. It is a disaster, really.
Shitty documented and very user unfriendly.
