Hi have you tried this?
Remove sender from recipients in distribution group

When a member from our distribution groups sends an email to the group, that sender receives a copy of the email. How do we stop that?
I haven't been able to figure out how to do this in Rules.
We would like to remove the sender of the email from the recipient list.

Yes, I have seen that post/article. I don't have Rules and Alerts. I also don't have the options that are listed in that post. Ack! I thought maybe it was because the post was from 9 years ago and Rules had changed. But maybe it is because I am on Mac? Is the interface different on Windows? I'm not sure.
The best workaround I could find so far is:
Create a Rule in Outlook
Add condition: If it's
From > Me
To > Distribution Group
Then,
Move to > Deleted Items
