Hello,

is there a possibility to enable German or Portuguese subtitles during a meeting? I am using Teams as a private person and the private version only includes English subtitles.

    Hi @Sandra Horn,

Are you using Teams for free?

Normally the live captions feature needs Teams for Premium license.

While if the meeting organizer is licensed, as an attendee you should be able to use this feature.

    (German and Portuguese are supported)

Please refer to this link: Which users should be assigned Teams Premium licenses?

    • For live translation (for captions), advanced meeting protection, and advanced webinars, if the meeting organizer is licensed with Teams Premium, meeting participants (including guests and external participants) don't need the Teams Premium license to benefit from these premium features. If an attendee is licensed with Teams Premium but the meeting organizer isn't, that attendee will still be able to access live translations.

    Thank you for your answer.

Yes, I am using Teams for free. Unfortunately, I can't buy a Premium license as a private person. This is only for companies. That's why I asked for an alternative or a different solution. I also receive invitations from organizers, but those are also private people.
