Hi all.

Before, I tend to leave the option for "If you've been away..." at "Every time," as my computer contains sensitive files and I would like additional layers of security when I put my computer in Sleep mode. As of today, however, that option is automatically set to "Never" for some reason, and when I tried to change it back to "Every time," closing and reopening Settings revealed it had changed back to "Never" again. I have tried to restart my device and change this setting again multiple times but the problem still persists.

My Windows and all related software are up to date. Yesterday I updated a lot of my apps and services via the Microsoft Store so it could be because of that but I am not sure. My device is the ASUS Rog Strix G15 G513 laptop (my BIOS is updated to the latest version via the MyASUS application) and the Windows version is Windows 11 Home Single Language if that relates to the issue.

Thanks for all your help.

    Hello there,

Have you try to completely disable the lockscreen option?

You might check to see if the Interactive logon: Machine inactivity limit security policy.

Access the System unattended sleep timeout setting, follow these steps:

In the search located in the Task Bar, search and open the Control Panel.

    Select Hardware and Sound.

Select Power Options, then choose Change when the computer sleeps.

    Click Change advanced power settings.

Click the “+” to expand the folder for Sleep.

Click the “+” next to Sleep after and Hibernation after.

Extend the time to whatever you want or enter 0 for Never on both settings to make sure they are disabled.

Hope this resolves your Query !!
