How to remove expired account from access path on iPad

I retired from one organization and joined another one recently. Both old and new work-account provide me access to a third party document hosted in M365.

I work on iPad/Outlook/Microsof365/Teams

When I attempt to launch a link to third party document from mail on outlook, Microsoft365 app directs me into authentication for old work account. Access fails as account is decommissioned.

Poor fix: remove microsoft365 app. Launch of link now opens to Onedrive which diverts to sharepoint in browser where I can authenticate with new work account

Reinstall of microsoft365 app returns to old failure

Where is old account info cached on iPad and how can I remove this content?

Hello! I'd be happy to help you with your question.

It sounds like you're having trouble removing your old work account from your iPad's access path. To remove your old account from Microsoft 365 on your iPad, please follow these steps:

    1. Open the Microsoft 365 app on your iPad.
    2. Tap on the profile icon in the upper-left corner of the screen.
    3. Scroll down to the "Accounts" section and tap on the old account that you want to remove.
    4. Tap on "Sign Out" and confirm that you want to sign out of the account.
    5. Once you've signed out, you can remove the account by tapping on it again and then selecting "Remove Account."

If you've already tried signing out of your old account and the issue persists, it's possible that the account information is cached on your iPad. In that case, you can try clearing the cache by going to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. This should remove any cached data, including your old account information.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
