Hi all,
For a week our clients cannot create a Tab on Microsoft Teams, when they try to make a tab then shows a scope permissions error message.

It seems to happen when you try to make a new tab after recently creating or opening a Word/Excel file in the same team. I think it only effects Word and Excel tabs.I found a workaround that can be used until the error is fixed:
Change to a different tab that is not a file storage tab.
Then you can create a new tab using the plus sign on the tab bar. -

The standard + icon in the channel header option still works (but, infuriatingly, is far less useful now that it defaults not to the current channel files, or even to the current team, but to everything in MS365, forcing me to navigate multiple extra clicks to get to a file!).

Do you have the same problem with the Teams web client?
Is there a problem with anyone else in the organization?
If you can not access Teams files, please select Run Tests below, which will populate the diagnostic in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

I found a workaround that can be used until the error is resolved. But our clients are not happy with it.
