Double Click to edit items on SharePoint List is intermittently not working

We created a Calendar view out of a SharePoint list, and are finding that it has intermittent issues with the double click ability. When a user double clicks, it expands the view of the item and (if permissions allow), enables edit options.

But intermittently, the double click does not work - whether in the List view or Calendar view. Even when I close my browser or refresh - it does not fix the issue. It is very random when it works and when it does not.

My company has O365 enabled.

    This issue cannot be reproduced from my end. There is no official document addressing similar issue.
    May be you could try it from the following points:

    1.Try to clear browser cache then restart it.

    2.Try to use a different browser or your browser's InPrivate mode to see if the same error occurs.

    3.Are other users with permissions facing the same problem? View through another computer or account.

    4.Whether all SharePoint calendar view have the same problem? You could create a new SharePoint calendar view in another list to check.

    5.Check if the same issue occurs with other SharePoint site collections.

    Then please let me know the troubleshooting result please?
