Storing and reading images files from SQL Server 2022

I have a database that contains images in SQL server 2022, when I save and then read the images in c# and convert them from byte array (byte[]) to base64 string, the images are no longer valid. Before the upgrade from SQL server 2019 to 2022, I could save and read the images without any issues. Nothing has changed in the c# code.
