How can I reduce the "login to ready-to-use" time in Windows 11 to an acceptable level. It currently takes several minutes to be able to start using my computer after logging in. During this period the system hard drive is noticeably active; so, since I have an 8-core system, it seems that Windows 11 is not good at sharing system resources during this startup period. There is nothing I can find that is unusual in the startup processes, tasks, services, etc. I did not have this problem with Windows 10.

    Hi.

    It may be that the third-party applications are causing the login time to be too long, you can try a clean boot, the steps are as follows:

    Win+R enter "msconfig"> select the "services" tab> select the "Hide all Microsoft services" box, and click "Disable All";

    Next, open the "Startup" tab, open the Task Manager, and in the "Startup" tab, disable unnecessary tasks.

    Or you can try updating Windows, newer updates usually include performance improvements and fixes to existing bugs.

    Hope the information is helpful.

    Hello

    Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having query\issues related to Windows 11 start-up increase time.

    1. One option to speed up Windows 11 is to disable autostart for programs that do not need to be launched upon system start-up. To do so, follow these steps

    Launch the Task Manager -> Switch to “Autostart” -> Check the “Status” column for programs listed as “activated”.

    Select the entry of the program you wish to deactivate and right-click on it.

    Click on “Disable”.

    1. Also , Update BIOS firmware and Other drivers from vendor website.
    2. Disable any Antivirus program or Windows firewall you may have for temporary purpose.

    I am tech savy guy, but this windows 11 is slow. All the startup apps same in windows 10, but this is a bug, like 20 seconds for m2 ssd after password to explorer screen is sub par.

    And the above answer is nonsense. I have a rocket with 64 gigs of ram, that can start all the software in the world.
