Hi, I had an Azure account with a plan as part of a university class. This was 1,5 years ago, and apparently, I didn't stop the subscription, and now I'm unable to login to my account to stop the plan. When trying to login I get the following message: "Your sign-in was successful, but you don't have permission to access this ressource."

I'm unsure how to proceed from here, and each try I make ends with a failed login attempt. My question is therefore; How do I get help or proceed from here?

If you receive the "Your sign-in was successful, but you don't have permission to access this resource" error message when trying to cancel your Azure subscription, it means that your account does not have the necessary permissions to perform this action.

To cancel your subscription please follow these steps:

Contact the Azure subscription administrator or owner and request them to cancel the subscription on your behalf.

If you are the subscription owner and cannot sign in to the Azure portal due to the error message, you can try to reset your user account's role assignments to regain access to the subscription by following the below steps

    1. Go to the Azure portal
    2. Click on the "Azure Active Directory" button in the left-hand menu.
    3. In the new blade that appears, click on the "Users" option.
    4. Click on your user account from the list of users.
    5. In the left-hand menu, click on "Assigned roles".
    6. Click the "Delete" button next to all assigned roles.
    7. Wait for 30 minutes for the role changes to take effect.
    8. Try to sign in again and see if the error message has been resolved.

If you are still unable to cancel the subscription or access the Azure portal, contact Microsoft support for assistance

Create support request from azure portal: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-portal/supportability/how-to-create-azure-support-request#go-to-help--support-from-the-global-header

If you're unable to create support request, try to reach support via global customer support as shown below.

    Hope this helps!

    Regards,

    Divya.
