I got an invoice at Azure, without any benefit

Hi all,

I was learning for the DMP-203 and wanted to make the certificate.

For any reason the sandbox was not shown anymore and I thought, maybe I can use my Azure account to implement a Synapse Analytics and a SQLpool to fulfill the certificate criteria's.

The cost should only be generated by use, but now I come to my problem. The SQLpool seems to run all the time, without any reason and generates costs.

As I got my first bill (01.01.2023 - 31.01.2023: 475€) I canceled everything and deactivated my account, but it had no effect...

Friday I got my seccond bill (01.02.2023 - 28.02.2023: 508€) and I tried to contact the support to asked them to cancel my subscription, but I am no longer allowed to contact the support.

What can I do now? I have no options anymore to ask for support.

    Hi Marco,

    Can you contact the Global support team for the billing and charges as your account is locked/subscription cancel, you will be able to only contact support via global numbers - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/global-customer-service-phone-numbers-c0389ade-5640-e588-8b0e-28de8afeb3f2

    Just adding more insights on this:

    The sandbox works independently from your regular subscriptions. In this case, you don’t have to leverage your free subscription.

    As mentioned in this Learning module - Exercise - Explore Azure Synapse Analytics --
    "In this exercise, you'll use a provided script to provision an Azure Synapse Analytics workspace in your Azure subscription; and then use Azure Synapse Studio to perform core data analytics tasks."
